The Sashiko Stitch Challenge

If you’re curious about Sashiko stitching, this event is for you! We’ll be specifically talking to beginners and focusing on making a mini hana fukin, but anyone else who wants to stitch something beautiful is welcome to join us. 

The challenge runs from 2-6 February, 2026 with live sessions happening at 4pm Eastern/5pm Atlantic (8am the next day in Sydney) each day. You’ll also be able to join our community as soon as you register, so you can join in on the fun right away! 

While I recommend that you join the live Q&A gathering to make progress alongside others and have the chance to ask questions, you will have access to replays so you can catch up and create your own mini hana fukin.

The challenge lesson videos are pre-recorded so you can do the challenge at any time that suits your schedule.

We'll learn a step of the process together each day with a video recording - you can expect to spend up to 30 minutes on these each day.

We'll also have live gatherings each day of our challenge week, where you can work on your project, ask questions, or simply come and socialise. These gatherings will be approximately an hour in length and will happen at 4pm Eastern/5pm Atlantic (8am the next day in Sydney) each day of the challenge.

Yes. All sessions will have live closed captioning enabled and replays will also be captioned.
